Christie Clark (Carrie) and Patrick Muldoon (Austin) taped their final
scenes on April 26. They had returned last September and are expected to
make their final appearances in late June.
Days is casting a new recurring role. Days is looking to cast a 21
- 28 year old gorgeous African American or Hispanic male. He is
supposed to be an edgy and charismatic bad boy with a good heart and a
mysterious past.
Days has hired Brant Daugherty, who is
going to be involved in a storyline with Will and Sonny. He played Noel on
"Pretty Little Liars." There is no word as to
when his story arc will begin.
Days is casting the role of "Drew," a 30-to-35-year-old well-built,
Caucasian male. "Drew is the ideal man in every way," reads the breakdown
for the part. "From his incredible good looks, to his sincerity, integrity
and strength. He is the total package. He is smart and caring and has a way
about him that puts anyone at ease. But behind his perfect facade may lie a
pain that drives him to do anything to forget his past." The show is seeking
"strong, experienced actors" for this contract role. Insiders whisper this
is one of a handful of new faces that will move to Salem under the new
writing regime of Gary Tomlin and Christopher Whitesell.
Matthew Ashford
(Jack Devereaux) and Sarah Brown (Madison) have been cut from the show.
Renee Jones (Lexie Carver) will be leaving the show in June. She has
decided to retire from show business.
Charles Shaughnessy will be back on the show as the superspy Shane
Donovan beginning on
Wednesday, May 2 for 12 episodes. He was last seen in 2010 when he returned for Alice's memorial
service.
Beverly Todd plays Celeste
Perrault beginning on Wednesday, April 4 for a multi-episode arc.
