To make the Daytime Emmy nomination process fairer in
2012, NATAS (The National Academy of Television Arts and
Sciences) has instituted some changes. There will no longer
be a limit of 2 actors from each show who can submit their
names in the pre-nomination process in each category.
Therefore, everyone will have a chance to be considered for
an award, not just the most well-known actors. Also, judging
pre-nominee hopefuls will take place online. The top 10
pre-nominees from each category will be announced on March
2, 2012.
