FX BURT REYNOLDS TO GUEST STAR ON ARCHER
Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award-Winning Actor Lends His Voice To FX’s Hit Animated
Series Archer Season 3 Premieres on FX in January 2012
Los Angeles, CA – October 31, 2011 – Iconic actor Burt Reynolds has signed on as
a guest star in the third season of FX’s critically acclaimed hit animated
series Archer. Reynolds will play himself in an episode titled “The Man From
Jupiter,” a reference to Reynolds’ home of Jupiter, Florida. In the episode,
which will air in January, Reynolds dates Agent Sterling Archer’s mother and
boss, Malory – much to Sterling’s dismay.
"I think the only person on the planet who's a bigger fan of Burt Reynolds than
me is Sterling Archer," said Archer creator Adam Reed. "Archer constantly tries
to imitate Burt and always raves about Burt's movies and all-around awesomeness.
So to have Burt recording voice-overs for the show was just amazing."

truTV’s Hit Series Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura Hits the Road for
Third Season of Truth-Seeking and Myth-Debunking
If there’s an urban legend or conspiracy theory out there, Jesse Ventura is
determined to get to the bottom of it. The soldier, wrestler, politician and
best-selling author is hitting the road for the third season of truTV’s hit
series Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura. The new season promises even more
mystery and mayhem as the rebel and freethinker investigates secrets “they”
don't want people to know. Upping the ante against alleged cover-ups, Jesse and
veteran team member June Sarpong will be joined by a “new generation” of
conspiracy busters: Jesse’s own son, Tyrel Ventura, and Sean Stone, son of
controversial Oscar®-winning filmmaker Oliver Stone (JFK). The eight-episode
third season of Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura is slated to launch on
truTV in 2012.
As the saying goes, a lie can get halfway around the world before the truth has
a chance to put on its boots. That seems to be the case more and more in today’s
world of 24-hour news and rapid-fire social media. Jesse Ventura thinks it’s
time for truth to have a fighting chance. He and his team are setting out to
find the facts and expose the lies behind some of today’s most pervasive – and
occasionally persuasive – legends and myths.
The third season of Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura will be a fun,
fast-paced examination of stories, myths and legends that are all-too-often
accepted as fact. There’s no theory Jesse and his team won’t investigate,
whether it’s as outrageous as the existence of lizard people or as chilling as
government-led surgical experimentation on human subjects. In each case, Jesse
will remain utterly neutral until he feels certain he and his team have
uncovered the whole story. Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura will travel the
globe in search of answers, taking viewers on a fascinating journey toward a
single destination: truth.

PBS THIS OLD HOUSE® TO TURN BARRINGTON BEACH COTTAGE
INTO BEAUTIFUL YEAR-ROUND FAMILY HOME
Rhode Island Provides Show With First-Ever Project On Open Water
CONCORD, Mass., (August 8, 2011) - The Emmy® Award-winning PBS home
improvement series This Old House® has selected a humble beach-front
property in the Ocean State for its next renovation project. Located on
Barrington Beach, about 10 miles from the state capital of Providence,
this 1925 modified Cape boasts spectacular views of scenic Narragansett
Bay. Last updated in the 1970s, the small house has outdated features,
cramped spaces, and with only two small bedrooms and no shower on the
second floor, lacks the amenities necessary for modern-day living. With
the help of the This Old House team and local tradespeople, this simple
beach house will be transformed into a stunning year-round home for a
professional couple and their young daughter.
The This Old House Barrington Project, featuring 10 brand-new episodes,
premieres nationally on PBS in January 2012 (check
http://www.thisoldhouse.com/tvschedule or your local listings).
"Everybody loves the idea of beach-front property, but it does require
some extra thought," says host Kevin O'Connor. "Our house is within a
high wind zone and that means coastal storms and wind driven rain can be a
real problem; so we'll work closely with the builder to make sure the
house is properly protected from the elements."

TNT Acquires Hit Crime Drama Castle
In its latest high-profile acquisition, TNT has secured the exclusive off-network cable rights to the hit series, Castle, from Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Castle, which just completed its third highly rated season on ABC, is a crime drama starring Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Desperate Housewives) and Stana Katic (Quantum of Solace, TNT’s The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice). Castle (seasons 1 & 2) will begin airing on TNT in summer 2012. As part of TNT’s TV Everywhere rollout, Castle will also be available for online viewing through mobile phones, tablets, computers and other devices.
“With the addition of Castle, TNT continues to build a collection of hit shows that will perfectly complement our high-profile original series,” said Michael Wright, executive vice president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM).
TNT’s deal for Castle follows on the heels of the network’s recent acquisition of Hawaii Five-0, which will join the TNT lineup in 2014. TNT has also landed the popular series The Mentalist, which recently enjoyed a strong opening in its Wednesday 7-9 p.m. timeslot.
Castle centers on the life of Richard Castle (Fillion) – a famous mystery novelist and divorced father raising his teenage daughter, while being kept grounded by his Broadway diva mother. He was creatively blocked until the NYPD questioned him in connection with a series of murders staged to imitate crime scenes from his books. Castle found inspiration in NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, a bright and aggressive homicide detective with a fascination for odd and offbeat cases stemming from the years-old unsolved murder of her own mother. Though they instantly clashed, sparks of another sort began to fly, leading both to danger and a hint of romance as Castle stepped in to help find the copycat killer. Once that initial case was solved, Castle and Beckett continued to investigate strange homicides in New York, combining Castle’s writer intuition and Beckett’s creative detective work.

Sometime in the future--Dynasty Set To Return on Big Screen
TV Series Creators Plan Movie Reboot
Somewhere in the world there is an episode of Dynasty airing right now.
More than 30 years after its creation, the iconic nighttime soap opera still resonates with audiences, so show creators Richard and Esther Shapiro are following the trend set by the big screen remakes of series like Sex and the City, The A-Team, Charlie’s Angels, Starsky & Hutch and the planned 21 Jump Street film by rebooting Dynasty as a new film franchise.
“The time is right,” said Esther Shapiro, co-creator of the series with her husband Richard. “Nostalgia has always been big, but we want to take it a step further. We want to go back to the beginning with these characters and use the film to trace their roots. We’re taking Blake Carrington back to his young manhood and when he met Alexis, and setting the movie in the Mad Men era of the 1960s. It will give us the opportunity to start fresh, without the constraints that television placed on our characters in the series.”
